Well, it's meeting time again. This month we have a technical presentation
for you. The meeting, as usual, will be at ORA at 7:30. Show up early as
when the meeting starts, tickets for the drawing will no longer be given
out.

Allen Morris will be giving us a presentation on Kernel NFS. For those who
may not know, Linux 2.2.x has the option of having the NFS server run in
kernel space (knfsd) as opposed to user space. If you don't know what that
means, but it sounds cool, you should show up, because Allen will answer
that question and more.

Allen is the current maintainer of Linux knfsd and. He's been in this
position for about a year. Allen's been doing computer program since he was
14 and is working on getting his BS in Computer Sciences and Electrical
Engineering from The University of California at Berkeley.

Hope to see you on the 10th!

Oh! One more thing to note on your calendars. Brad Cox (our webmaster) and
I will be giving a presentation to the PCUGR (PC Users Group of the
Redwoods) on the 12th of August. We will be giving a brief presentation on
what Linux is and why they may want to run it. PCUGR meets at the Santa
Rosa Vets building at 7:30. You can get more info at their web site at
http://www.pcugr.org/.
