Well, setting up NFS on the Linux side is probably easier than setting up
samba, but unfortunately, that's really not gonna help you any, since samba
is what you're gonna need to use with the wintel boxes...

For letting the Macs get to files on the Linux box, the software you'll want
is "netatalk".

I'd suggest you install the samba and netatalk packages available for RedHat
6.2, play around with each for an hour or so, and then ask talk at nblug.org
for help...  (They're both complicated enough that you could run into
trouble...  especially samba; netatalk's actually not bad)
