WAP ... which one?

I have the D-Link and it suffers from poor range. I feel like I'm on a 
25 foot cord. Otherwise, it works fine if you are within say 10 feet. 
This is hardly "wireless."

Also, whenever we use our 2.5GHz Panasonic phone, the link quits and 
pops up a "network cable unplugged" message. Oddly enough, my much more 
powerful 2.5GHz DVD sender doesn't affect it.
