I'd have tried mysqlf using a "CDS" nameserver as the second argument, but
i have no idea who the heck CDS is.

I'm in email catchup mode and didn't read the early parts of this thread, so
sorry if this has been mentioned already...

Can you access the nblug web site using it's ip address?

If not, then probably the most useful thing to provide would be a traceroute
("tracert" in 'doze) from your desktop to 208.201.242.2
