Hello, 
That was a known issue with RH8. Try opening a shell and typing "setup" w/o 
the quotes, and select Firewall Configuration. If that doesn't work take a 
look at /etc/sysconfig/iptables. If you edit that file you should run  
/etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables restart.
