Serendipity strikes. Saw this in Debian Weekly News today:

About: KnoppixMAME is a bootable arcade machine emulator with hardware
detection and autoconfiguration. It works automatically on all modern
and not-so-modern hardware, including gameports and joysticks. It is
powered by Knoppix Debian GNU/Linux, X-MAME, and gxmame.

ROM's not included.

If you or someone savvy were to hook him up with an ISO with some ROMS,
it might provide hours of diversion.

If you aren't familiar with MAME, it stands for Multiple Arcade Machine
Emulator, meaning you can play everything from standup arcade games to
C64 and atari 2600 stuff using a ripped image of the original game binary.

The legality of using some of these ripped ROMS is somewhat sketchy, but
certainly not on the level of burning an ISO of the latest PhotoShop.
