Yeah, in gnome-terminal you can either use right-click, Edit Current
Profile, General, etc.

Or you can turn the menubar back on (it's a right-click option) and select
File, New Profile, give it a name like "large fonts".  Then create, then
Edit, Profiles.., large fonts, Edit button, same steps in there as Mark
described.  Then after that overly complicated procedure, you could simply
right-click, Profile, large fonts.

Or, even better, in gnome-terminal, ctrl-shift-+ to zoom in, ctrl-- to zoom
out and ctrl-= to set back to the default.  (= and + are on the same key, so
you have to use shift to get the + and not hit shift to get to the -.)
