The 3Ware cards do everything for you and you don't need a driver. Use the
3Ware bios to setup the array, then linux fdisk to partition and format as
usual, but instead of /dev/hda, etc, the array will be named as if it's
scsi, like /dev/sda.

That's why the 3Ware cards cost more, they are GOOD!
