Walter,

  Sorry about that, I was on an unreliable wireless connection and
  apparrently even though squirel mail said it didn't send, it really
  did...
Anyway, first thing I would check is /etc/hosts just to make sure it
actually has something reasonable in it, or nothing at if you want to just
use DNS exclusively.
