Isn't this what all mid to large size companies (and probably gov't
instutions) did in the 90's until Microsoft started auditing people?

Not that I was a PC tech for a mid-size company in the 90's, that
installed hundreds of workstations with the same copy of windows.  Nor
did we basically have pc boxes full of the OEM packages of windows that
everyone and their mom (including upper management) took home and shared
with all their friends and family.

That absolutely never happened, and I have the sworn affidavit to prove
it ;-)
