TLS (RFC 5746) isn't supported by Yahoo!. Try changing your server 
settings for both POP and SMTP to SSL.

AT&T Yahoo's mail server settings are:
mail.att.yahoo.com - SSL - Port 995
smtp.att.yahoo.com - SSL - Port 465

I don't see any reason why Apache would conflict.
