I did not mean that I *really* wanted us to start our own Computer Recycling
Center. I was just thinking about what to do if CRC proved to be
uncooperative with the Linux-advocacy effort we had been discussing (I could
probably recycle a few computers if I had to, but obviously not on a scale
like theirs). However, having talked to them yesterday, I think that they
would be willing to cooperate, at least to some extent.

I don't know what their policy is on hardware that is too old to use as a
"modern" PC with a GUI and all that (I didn't think to ask), but if anyone
in the group is willing to work on doing useful things (I think someone
mentioned a print server) with such old hardware, it might be worth talking
to them about some kind of cooperative effort. Any thoughts on that?

I'd volunteer to do this myself, but between keeping track of this
OpenOffice campaign and preparing for the Fall Semester at SRJC, I don't
have time for much else.
