Though I would like to see netcat people at installfests, we should be
careful with actually running such software at SSU:

Students running DHCP servers are not well liked. They create work for the
campus support people. We have wirless access covering the same building
we use for the installfest, and risk to making the campus wireless access
used by students not work so well could put us at risk for keeping our
installfests at the Uni. (Yes, I know clever use of different channels can
permit little interference, and naming your unit to have a different ESSID
can also help, but there are several wireless accesspoint throught each
winge (nort/south) and one each floor.

Installs of NoCat are perfectly fine, just so long as they are not *run*
to interfere with the students in the rest of the bulding who may use
wireless cards.

Even before I changed sides, I knew "they had ways" to check on things
like this. We should make sure our group keeps a good relationship with
the uni, so that installfests and the movie showing in March can continue.
We have done a great job of not causing problems and have been welcomed
back several times. We are doing a great job in this respect.

Really, this is just as simple as "not making more work for others."
Running a wireless access point with DHCP is something that could create
complaint and/or work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on this.
