you missed it, this PD article:

talks about the new law that went into effect yesterday that requires
businesses to notify customers if their information was stolen.

so encrypt that data, and check those firewall rules. :)

p.s. feinstein introduced similar legislation into the u.s. senate a few
days ago, so this could go national.
