So the Hype Oracle and RedHat are pushing is just that, Hype?

As far as I know, there is now only one "Retail Packaged Linux", and it's
SuSE.

I doubt you'll find anyone who has used it. However, there are
installation articles for both Red Hat 9 and SuSE Enterprise 8 here:
