I use www.experts-exchange.com to solve Windows problems. I subscribe
to the service. You can get a good idea of what types of things are
asked and answered by doing a google search of:

"your problem" +site:experts-exchange.com

What is nice about experts-exchange is that the questioner is required
to close out the question.
A question is closed out, when the questioner assigns "Accepted Answer"
to the answer that solved the problem. The questioner can also assign
"Assisted Answer" to answers that help arrive at the solution.

There are also numerous yahoogroups. Pick what you are interested in
and see if there is a corresponding yahoogroup.

Examples:

sfsbug (San Francisco Small Business User Group)
sonicwall (Sonicwall firewall/router)
