Fire up your favorite package manager. In Kubuntu, it'd be Adept.
Or, use a command-line tool, like "apt-cache", or "aptitude", with the
'search' option.

For example:

  $ aptitude search risk
  ...
  p xfrisk - Server and X11 client for playing risk wit...

Sounds promising.  Let's investigage:

  $ aptitude show xfrisk

  Package: xfrisk
  New: yes
  State: not installed
  Version: 1.2-2.1
  Priority: optional
  Section: universe/games
  Maintainer: Joe Nahmias <jello at debian.org>
  ...
  Description: Server and X11 client for playing risk with humans or AIs
   Risk is a board game played on a map of the world. You control a group of
   armies and attempt to capture large sections of the world and try to stop
   your opponents from doing the same thing. You can also choose to play
   with a mission that you have to accomplish before your opponents do.

   xfrisk allows you to play risk against other players over TCP/IP and
   includes 3 different AI players.

One down, one to go! :^)

  $ aptitude search cribbage
  $

Huh, nothing. Let's try a search in the descriptions, too, not just the
names:

  $ aptitude search ~dcribbage
  i bsdgames - a collection of classic textual unix games
  $

Blah, you probably didn't want a text-based game.
Don't fret, let's try a few other places online!

    ...both found:

  SourceForge

    ...found two projects with no activity or downloads :^(

    * Kribbage (nothing to download yet)

  Google web search

    ...found

    * Cribbage Freeware (for Windows, claims to work with Wine)

See how easy it is to find this stuff yourself?
But seriously, I hope that helps!

(You now have fish, AND know how to fish!) ;^)

PS - "Just a general question" is kind of a useless subject line, btw!
