[NBLUG/talk] VMware on Linux on Xen with non-linux Dom0...

I've got a board (EPIA EN15000G) which won't run linux stable. Even
without X it'll crash within a few hours or days if loaded up at all.
(just locks up, no ping, nothing on the console). memtest86 didn't show
anything, and a similar CPU and disk test runs fine for days with NetBSD
on the box...

Since I was hoping to use this box to run all the various things
(NetBSD/Linux/Windows) I sometimes need to run without rebooting I _was_
going to run linux on the hardware, and NetBSD & Windows under VMWare.
However, with Linux being unstable on this hardware, I thought I might
be able to go at it from the other direction. I thought about trying to
run VMWare directly on NetBSD, but from the looks of it, the package for
it is extremely old.

So, am I crazy for thinking this might work? Does vmware need to run on
the OS running on the hardware?

Thanks,

Robert
