Take a look at justin.tv Its dead simple to use. It uses your laptop's
webcam and mic to upload a live stream and archive it for later on
JustinTV's site. The session also adds a browser-based chat widget.
Note: Requires Adobe Flash to work. I'm sure the video can be
"extracted" by using various flash downloaders

We just finished XOCamp2, a meeting for One Laptop Per Child at
1Cambridge Center in Massachusetts. That meeting was broadcast live
and archived at http://www.justin.tv/xocamp

One the high end is Flumotion. It requires serious investment of time
and machines (at least back when we did this at SF State), but it
works well.
