This is a Firefox thing. I don't know why Firefox don't give you an
easy interface for undoing this, but I found how to do it manually.

This is probably easier to do via the command line, but since I don't
know how comfortable you are with Linux, I'm going to try to walk you
through using the GUI.

First, close Firefox. Open your home folder (Places -> Home). Make
hidden files visible (View -> Show Hidden Files).

Open the .mozilla folder, then the firefox folder inside of that.
Inside that folder should be your user profile--it will be a folder
named something random ending with ".default". Open that.

In here, there should be a file named persdict.dat. If you want to
preserve your existing custom dictionary entries, you could edit this
file. Otherwise, just delete it. :-)

Start Firefox again (and maybe turn "show hidden files" back off) and
you should be good to go.

Incidentally, if you ever really screw up Firefox, you can just delete
your entire profile folder to reset your settings. This will delete
all your bookmarks, though, so be careful.
